Gorgeous Victorian Cameo - Large Pinchbeck Brooch with Goddess Cameo and Etched FrameThis is a gorgeous Victorian cameo brooch or possibly earlier. It is a large piece at 2. 1 inches high and featuring a goddess profile with amazing detail of complex hair and flowing gown and a beautiful classical face. The frame is yellow metal and likely to be gold filled originally with lovely etching around the scalloped edges. The chain mesh is very fine and in beautiful condition with an attractive frill to the bottom and lovely colours over the gilt as shown

It opens nicely with a good hinge and has a bright and clean interior given its age
