Antique Victorian Christmas Card - Stunning Hand Crafted Lace Paper Little Jack Horner Secret MessageThis is a beautiful Victorian Christmas card before they became established as they are now. It is likely to be 1860s and is hand crafted with lacy paper layers. It is scalloped with gold edging and to the front is an applied picture of a little child sheltering in a tree with firewood and to the underneath of that a motto of Little Jack Horner Sat in a Corner Eating a Christmas Pie. This folds back to reveal a little secret picture of two singing

It is rare in being double sided and has a bail for chatelaine or fob use and has a great selection of marks for Made in England and maker and also Best Nickel Plated

It is nicely stamped Sterling 925 to the side and fits beautifully

It has a striker to the base and a good bail to the side so perfect for a fob or chatelaine and measures 2 inches high and a lovely solid weight of 28 gms and is in beautiful bright condition

There is some cleaning residue and lovely patina and measure approx 3

It is likely to be 1870s and is an amazing piece in it's original lacey envelope
